This video is informally the third part in a series on chemical reactions. I dive into the most advanced of the five types to study in an introductory course: double replacement reactions. In this video, we discuss the various subscripts denoting certain states of elements or compounds in water, including (aq), (s), (g), and (l). We study solubility rules, and complete unfinished double replacement reactions, using the solubility rules to determine if a reaction is favored and what the state of the products will be.
