Chhena Tarakari Recipe ( Odia ) | Cottage Cheese Curry : This delicious dish is made with cottage cheese ( chhena ) and spice paste ( masala ). Deep fried cottage cheese balls with spicy gravy is just awesome combination with Paratha. It can also serve with Roti or with plain rice . Ingredients :
1. Cottage cheese / Chhena ( From 1 ltr milk )
2. Lemon 1½ slice ( or as required to make the chhena from milk )
3. Diced potato 1 ( Medium )
4. Chopped onion 1 ( Big )
5. Diced tomato 1 ( Small )
6. For making the masala ( Spice paste ) we need :
Onion 1 ( Big )
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic cloves ( 67 )
Black pepper corn ( 67 )
Cinnamon stick 1 inch
7. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
8. Bay leaf 1
9. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
10. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
11. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
12. Sugar 1/2 tsp
13. Salt to taste
14. Mustard oil 4 tbsp ( or add as required )
15. Cooking oil for frying cottage cheese
