It's time to give the chickens a check up! We do this regularly to ensure they are ok. We only use our own natural and home made products to keep them healthy. Mites can be a problem to their legs and unfortunately, the medicine from the vet was so toxic it meant we couldn't eat the eggs. What I do now is, I cover their legs with one of my herbal oils. Today i am using St. John Wort's oil but I also use Plantain oil. This soothes their legs and helps to smooth their scales whilst suffocating the mites at the same time. I also add some Garlic and Apple Cider Vinegar to their water. Chopped greens, such as Dandelion, Chickweed and Nettle make tasty treats. How do you treat your chickens?
