Fēi fēi hé ā wěi shì yí duì qíng lǚ, tā men dōu zhù zài dà xué sù shè
菲菲和阿伟是一对情侣他们都住在大学宿舍。
Feifei and Awei were a couple, both of them lived in the college dormitory.

ā wěi shì yí gè hěn zāo gāo de nán péng yǒu,
阿伟是一个很糟糕的男朋友
Awei was a terrible boyfriend,

tā bú dàn fēi cháng huā xīn, ér qiě yǒu de shí hòu hái huì dǎ fēi fēi
他不但非常花心而且有的时候还会打菲菲。
He always played around, besides that, Awei beat feifei sometimes.

Fēi fēi jué de fēi cháng shāng xīn,
菲菲觉得非常伤心
Feifei was very sad,

suǒ yǐ, fēi fēi cóng sù shè de lóu dǐng tiào le xià qù, zì shā le
所以菲菲从宿舍的楼顶跳了下去自杀了。
So she jumped from the top of her dormitory, and killed herself.

Fēi fēi zì shā yǐ hòu, ā wěi cháng cháng mèng jiàn tā
菲菲自杀以后阿伟常常梦见她
After feifei’s suicide, Awei often dreamt about her.

Zài mèng lǐ, fēi fēi shuō, tā yào lái zhǎo ā wěi, bǎ ā wěi yě shā sǐ
在梦里菲菲说她要来找阿伟把阿伟也杀死。
In Awei’s dream, Feifei said, she was going to find Awei and kill him.

ā wěi fēi cháng hài pà, suǒ yǐ tā qù zhǎo le yí gè suàn mìng shī fu
阿伟非常害怕所以他去找了一个算命师傅
Awei was really scared, so he went to a Chinese fortune teller for help(They work as ghostbusters too in China!)

shī fu gào su tā, jīn tiān wǎn shàng jiù shì tóu qī,
师傅告诉他: “今天晚上就是头七
The fortune teller told Awei“ because tonight is the seventh night after Feifei’s death,

nǐ yào ràng nǐ de shì yǒu dōu lí kāi, nǐ yí gè rén zài sù shè
你要让你的室友都离开你一个人在宿舍
you need to ask all your roommates to leave, and stay in the dorm alone

nǐ yào jì zhù, guǐ shì bù néng wān yāo de
你要记住鬼是不能弯腰的
Remember, ghosts can not bend down,

suǒ yǐ, rú guǒ nǐ duǒ zài sù shè de chuáng xià, fēi fēi jiù bù néng zhǎo dào nǐ
所以如果你躲在宿舍的床下菲菲就不能找到你。”
So if you hide under the dorm bed, Feifei can not find you.”

ā wěi de sù shè yí gòng yǒu shí zhāng chuáng, ā wěi duǒ zài le dì shí zhāng chuáng xià
阿伟的宿舍一共有十张床阿伟躲在了第十张床下
There were ten beds altogether in Awei’s dorm, Awei hid under the tenth bed.

Kuài dào wǎn shàng shí èr diǎn le, ā wěi tīng dào le sù shè wài biān de shēng yīn
快到晚上12点了阿伟听到了宿舍外边的声音
It was almost midnight, Awei heard a noise from outside the dormitory.

dōng dōng, dōng dōng
咚咚, 咚咚…
Thunk thunk

zhè shì fēi fēi guò lái de shēng yīn
这是菲菲过来的声音
This must be the sound of Feifei coming.

ā wěi jǐn zhāng jí le
阿伟紧张极了
Awei was extremely nervous.

tā tīng dào zhè gè shēng yīn yuè lái yuè jìn
他听到这个声音越来越近
the sound was getting closer and closer, Awei heard

dōng dōng, dōng dōng
咚咚, 咚咚…
Thunk thunk

zhè gè shēng yīn dào le dì yī zhāng chuáng biān
这个声音到了第一张床边
The sound reached from the side of the first bed.

ā wěi tīng jiàn fēi fēi de shēng yīn shuō
阿伟听见菲菲的声音说
Awei heard Feifei’s voice saying:

zhǎo bú dào, zhǎo bú dào
找不到找不到
Can’t find him, can’t find him!

dōng dōng, dōng dōng
咚咚, 咚咚…
Thunk thunk

zhè gè shēng yīn dào le dì èr zhāng chuáng
这个声音到了第二张床
The sound reached the second bed,

zhǎo bú dào, zhǎo bú dào
找不到找不到
Can’t find him, can’t find him!

Fēi fēi yòu shuō
菲菲又说
said Feifei again.

dōng dōng, dōng dōng
咚咚, 咚咚…
Thunk thunk,

zhè gè shēng yīn yuè lái yuè jìn
这个声音越来越近
This sound was getting closer and closer

zhǎo bú dào, zhǎo bú dào
找不到找不到
Can’t find him, can’t find him!

zhè gè shēng yīn dào le dì jiǔ zhāng chuáng
这个声音到了第九张床
The ninth bed!

dōng dōng
咚咚
Thunk thunk

fēi fēi jì xù yí dòng
菲菲继续移动
Feifei kept moving

shēng yīn dào le ā wěi de chuáng biān
声音到了阿伟的床边
The sound reached Awei’s bed

zhǎo dào le, zhǎo dào le
找到了找到了
Found him! Found him!

ā wěi yě sǐ le
阿伟也死了…
Awei also died.

Why did Awei die:
Because Feifei died from jumping from the building, and her head hit the ground first, and after that she kept walking/moving with her body upside down.
Even if she can not bend down, her head is nearest to the ground so she can still see Awei.
