The title pretty much says it. Not long after I turned thirty years old, I was diagnosed with a rare form of chronic blood cancer called Essential Thrombocytosis (sometimes called Essential Thrombocythemia) caused by a genetic JAK2 mutation. When looking online for resources, I found a ton of medical information (an overwhelming amount) but not too many reallife, realworld people talking about their daily, lived experiences. I thought I would try to change that.
