CITV Continuity u0026 Adverts - 19th November 1998

The best part of a CITV afternoon from 1998 with Danielle Nicholls and Bryn Musselwhite who had quite a memorable week long stint whilst Stephen was on holiday, shame they never brought him back.

Coming out of Wizadora, Bryn mistakes barn dancing for farm dancing (oh the hilarity) then there's a Pen + Paper Alert competition in which viewers are invited to draw their favourite Wizadora character to win some Tots TV goodies!

Later on, before going into a break there's a promo for Titch followed by the Duck ident.

Then onto the first ad break and it's nostalgia galore with ads for Toymaster, Kellogg's Frosties 3D NBA Medals, F Zero X on Nintendo 64, Push Pop, Cluedo, Thomas and Friends Big Loader from Tomy, Tomy R/C Turbo Sports Car, Dyson and Gotta B... Barbie (Free CD!)

The Duck ident surfs his way towards Captain Pugwash for the next promo, then Danielle shows off a nice picture of Hey Arnold sent in by Ross Drummond of Scotland, inside Phil's Face before heading into The Adventures of Paddington Bear.

After Paddington (complete with CITV jigsaw!) a nice promo for all the toons on CITV everyday, and this day was no exception being very toon heavy with 4 out of 6 shows being cartoons! Then Danielle wishes Danielle a Happy Birthday before some singing cartoon lips magically appear on the birthday girl in question, and then a rundown of what's still to come followed by Spacehopper ident.

More ads, including Tomy Tomica World Road & Rail System, Lees, Action Man Artic Diver, Lego Znar, Gotta... B Barbie (Free CD), Baby Expressions, Tomorrow Never Dies (VHS Release) and Thomas and Friends Big Loader from Tomy.

Spacehopper ident, then a segment called 15 Seconds of Fame, in which lucky CITV viewers get 15 seconds on camera to have their say and show their face on telly (unlike the girl here who decides to hide behind a Hey Arnold mask she made!) Then into I Am Weasel, and because I Am Weasel is a segment within Cow and Chicken, they played both the Cow and Chicken and I Am Weasel titles back to back!

After I Am Weasel, a viewer called Jessica Brabant goes Behind the Scenes of The Top 10 of Everything and talks to the presenters Ben Jones and Vanessa Bewley about the show. Then we go over to Ben and Vanessa in the studio who tell us what's coming up on tomorrow's show which is list of your favourite bands and all the numbers to call (I'm not sure why Robbie Williams or Billie Piper are listed as bands...)

Then as Danielle is just about to tell us about a big phonein competition coming up soon, she gets aprutly cut off by a falling CITV Television ident (how fitting) I almost wonder if the playout of the Cow and Chicken titles earlier was unintentional, and they were cut for time.

The last batch of ads, and some great ones here including Domino Express, Fireballs, Toymaster, Cluedo, Syde Wynder, LockOn from Bandai, Micro Machines Combat Carrier playset, C Watch, Blush Art and Gooey Louie!

The CITV television then fixes itself up, followed by a double header promo for Fun House and The Top 10 of Everything then back to Danielle and Bryn and it's competition time! Viewers would have to watch Hey Arnold in order to try and win some Cabbage Patch Kids dolls (where those still popular by then?) complete with the 0894 12 33 44 Hotline jingle then into the 90s icon himself.
