The BC Provincial Leaders' debate was held on October 8, 2024. The debate was broadcast from CBC's studios in Vancouver, and was simulcast on all Global and Citytv stations in British Columbia, as well as CTV Vancouver, CBC British Columbia, and CHEK Victoria.

However, CIVT/CTV Vancouver experienced a technical issue going from the end of the 6 PM CTV News Vancouver newscast to the Leaders Debate broadcast. CTV master control in Toronto failed to switched to the debate broadcast, instead staying with the CTV Vancouver control room feed. Unfortunately, the anchor's microphones were also left on, and a bit of studio chatter from staff (wondering why their station handn't switched over to the debate) made it to air.
