To flee war and/or poverty, more and more migrants are risking their lives to reach the socalled European Eldorado. For ten months, the journalists followed two groups of illegal immigrants on their way to France, one departing from Cameroon and the other from Kabul, in Afghanistan. To reach Italy, the first group must notably cross the Mediterranean aboard a makeshift boat. The Afghans left Kabul on foot for an odyssey of several thousand kilometers in the mountains. Back on their journey and investigate the networks of smugglers, who enrich themselves on their backs.
