The crossing sees over 20 rail movements every hour. There are two large footbridges over the railway; one at the crossing and one at the station for those who can't wait for consecutive trains. The road over the crossing leads to the River Lee Country Park. One of the alarms is faulty. There are also police trespass warning signs, with 'no trespassing' in multiple languages.
