Today I made this easy & delicious split pea & ham soup :) I made mine in the slow cooker but you can easily make this on the stove top instead…it will take about 34 hours on the stove top, just make sure your ham is fall apart tender :)
I’ve listed everything I used below…in case you want to give them a go for yourself.

Preheat your slow cooker to High (cook for 56 hours) or low (810 hours)
I Used
Around 1kg Smoked ham hock (ham hough) or ham shank or similar bone in smoked ham joint
300g or 10oz Dried split peas (green on yellow) rinsed
1 Medium onion finely diced
2 Medium carrots diced
2 Ribs celery finely diced
1 Medium potato peeled & diced
2.5 pints or 6 cups chicken stock (I just used Knorks stock cubes)
Salt & pepper to taste
**Crusty bread or croutons to serve**
