In this episode of #TheDailyDoug, I'm reacting to Diary of a Madman from Ozzy Osbourne, featuring guitar work by Randy Rhoads. I was quite surprised to find out that the lyrics were not written by Ozzy but by bass player Bob Daisley. The lyrics are as real and vulnerable a firsthand account of going through mental health challenge that I've come across in quite some time. The asymmetrical rhythms and syncopations add to the composition's effectiveness and flair.
