When we think about management it naturally poses questions for us such as how is it constructed what are its functions and what the issues confronting it are. To answer these questions we often create models, these are not real they simply show the relationship between different aspects of something and how they are connected what are their strengths and their weaknesses.
We do the same with management. We want to know about management how it is constructed, what are its functions, what are its weaknesses, what are the benefits of management, and how we train good management.
To answer these questions we often create models a model is a simplification of reality, there simply helps us to think about issues write down the issues and study them on paper and discussed them. We do the same with management, and of course, all of this had to start somewhere. This video looks at classical management, this is one of the earliest forms of analysis that was tried on management. It is therefore important that we should study it. It also lays down the foundation for our later studies in this area.
