Pooky Knightsmith Mental Health

In spring 2017 I was bed bound by anorexia, by winter my weight was restored and I discovered climbing. Ever since, climbing has formed a really important part of my anorexia recovery and also really helps me to stay well. It also helps me to manage my autism. In this video I explore five lessons that climbing has taught me that apply to my wider love and mental illness recovery. It's inspired by a keynote talk I gave at a conference held by the Youth Sports Trust. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into my love of climbing it also shows lots of videos of me climbing and falling too!

If you are a fellow climber or someone whose sport or hobby forms an important part of your recovery or wellbeing, I'd love to hear about your experiences in the comments below..
