On December 12th 2020 just before Christmas and what was about to become the second Corona variation hit to the UK, a close friend of mine by the name of James invited me to join him in Kenya, where he has been residing for the past two years for work. I thought it would be a good chance to learn more about Africa and finally get out of my house, so I accepted his invitation. During the trip, i plucked up the courage to tell my friends that I would be extending my trip and joining them on their hike up Mount Kenya. So with no experience, equipment and honestly no real idea of what I was getting myself into, I agreed to climb Mount Kenya, the secondhighest mountain in Africa.

This is my story as a nonexperienced mountaineer, listening to his gut and seeing if could take on 2nd the hightest mountain in Africa. Mount Kenya This is the journey of Me Vs The Mountain

Let me know in the comments if you have climbed this mountain before or have plans to do it.
