The 2016 presidential election cycle featured former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, and businessman Donald Trump, the Republican nominee. The second debate was a 90minute town hall on a variety of topics, with half of the questions posed by the audience, and half by the moderators. Moderated by Anderson Cooper of CNN and Martha Raddatz of ABC, it took place on October 9, 2016, in St. Louis.
