Brady Kennedy and Cameron Price were setting up their drums and guitar amps at The Night Rider in Raleigh NC when I asked if I could video their set. I honestly had no idea what to expect except for my son Jackson telling me their band "Clout Chaser" was creating a buzz in the local rock scene. Jackson had been telling his friends that his band "Hermosa" was opening for "Clout Chaser" and they would all respond: "THEEEE Clout Chaser"? "Those guy are MONSTERS"!
I set up my camera stage right and hit record on my sony camcorder wondering what the hype was all about? They ripped my face off. From the 10 second soundcheck to the ending notes of the last song I was glued to their facemelting performance. Imagine the likes of a young Marco Minnemann and Guthrie Govan typeduo playing a small club back in their youth. Surely that never happened, but the next best thing would be to find out where Clout Chaser is playing next and see worldclass, jawdropping musicianship with your your very own eyes.
