Hey CNC woodworkers! Have you ever had a project that required a ton of sample cuts, and in the end it just didn't turn out how you wanted? Yeah, here is one of those projects that I decided to try: A salad bowl. But with a 5" deep inlay right in the middle, no vcarving, just straight inlay. It took me some clever testing to get this to work, but I was bested by some problems. I learned a lot..and you might find it useful to see what problems I went through to learn from my mistakes.

My bowl was made out of cherry wood with solid hard maple as the inlay. I used my Avid CNC Pro 4'x8' machine.
