Use coaching leadership to grow the people you led to become better and more successful people. The Coaching Leadership Style is one of the six leadership styles based on Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.
Coaching leadership is one of the most people focused leadership styles I have ever heard of, and it is one of the best long term styles in the Goleman framework.
This video explains what coaching leadership is about, it's pros and cons, when and how to use it plus a few coaching examples that I personally use as a leader of an MNC.
By understanding the advantages and disadvantages of coaching leadership, you will be able to use it at the right time, under the right circumstances, and with the right people. This knowledge will make you a better leader, just like it did for me.
Remember that all the six leadership styles in this framework should be used. In essence, you cannot rely solely on coaching leadership, but should rather rotate between the six styles depending on the situation at hand.
