In this video, I show you how to make a robust but easytomake coil winding machine. it is not fully automated but it significantly reduces the time to create a winding. Especially if the wire is thin and many turns are needed like the secondary coil of a Tesla coil.
Simple wooden blocks and a drill internal structure is used to make this winding machine. In a futur,e video I may upgrade the machine and show you the outcome.
My university laptop burned a few days ago. Magic smoke came out of the fan. A fried inductor inside is visible. I am very keen to repair it since it still works with a battery, but when connected to power, the inductor gets super hot. Maybe it is a project for itself.
Loads of master theses on the table, to be reviewed. Hot summer, and lots of work to do. A good dinner in Arnhem and a letter that put a smile on my face.
