The Thor team designed an AVAS system that plays beautiful sound samples created by the team, and demonstrates each cycle of the engine: acceleration, braking, etc. This allows people to better understand what kind of vehicle is driving, what maneuver it is performing.

All sounds are loaded into the Thor AVAS application and are played through a speaker with a builtin electronic module in any electric vehicle, be it an electric car, an electric bike, a scooter, etc.

In addition to creating software, beautiful sounds and developing speakers for large vehicles, the team conducts scientific tests in a muffled chamber and in real street conditions.

All sounds created for the AVAS project comply with the legislation and the basic rules of the UNECE No. 138 on noise and tires, which entered into force on July 1, 2020 in the EU. According to it, all hybrid and electric cars are required to install the AVAS system, which warns pedestrians of approaching vehicles at speeds up to 30 km / h. The US, China and Japan also have a similar law.
