This is a reupload of a colorization of a black and white photograph of scientist Stephen Hawking in his early twenties in circa. 1963.
This video was originally created and uploaded to honor the death of Stephen Hawking at the age of 76 on the 14th March 2018. Hawking was an important figure in physics and was one of the bestknown scientists of the 20th century. We felt that we had to honor his life in some way. He lived for over 50 years with motor neurone disease after initially being told that he had 2 years to live after he was diagnosed.
Colorization is the art of adding color to a black and white photograph, typically one from history, in order to allow the viewer to see the photo in a new way. This video gives you the opportunity to see one of the many ways people colorize old black and white images. This particular colorization was completed by an amateur and many different styles are shown on the HistoryColored YouTube channel.
