In March of 2024, I attended and volunteered at Plein Air South. It is a fantastic way to 'get your feet wet" in the art of painting on location and learn from the pros. This is a very short glimpse of my time there. Maybe it will tempt you to register for next year.

There were many other artists there who were not featured here, but this gives you a little hint of what it's like.

I just got back from attending PACE (Plein Air Convention and Expo) in Cherokee, NC. It was a similar event, but HUGE in comparison. I realized I like the smaller venue and crowd as well as a better chance to get to know the artists.

I have to laugh at myself and my packing...I don't travel light when I bring my car.
