Hello, today we are going to teach you how to calculate the Christmas bonus.
The bonus is a right that all workers have
and it can be if you worked all year
or if you worked only one day.
Let's see some examples:
José has been working in the company for a long time.
and this year it was not lacking.
He earns 3,000 pesos a fortnight
so to find out how much he earns each day we are going to divide
3,000 between 15
And so we're going to get your daily wage
which is 200 pesos.
He worked 365 days.
This means that they are going
to correspond to Christmas bonus 15 days
So he earns 3,000 pesos in 15 days, he will get 3,000 pesos as a bonus.
If you worked all year without fail, you get 15 days of what you earn.
Now let's see the example of Maria, the case is the same.
She earns 3000 pesos a fortnight
but she went to work on August 1 of this year
The daily wage is the same as 200 but let's see how many days she worked.
In August she worked 31 days.
In September 30 days.
In October 31 days.
In November 30 days.
And in December 31 days.
We are going to add all those days and they are going to be the days that she worked per year.
She worked 153 days.
Now with those 153 days we are going to see how much she gets as a Christmas bonus.
If you worked less than a year, you have to find out how many days you worked.
And you are going to divide 15 days, which is the minimum that they should give you as a Christmas bonus, between 365 days.
And gives us .041
We are going to multiply that by 153 days that you worked.
The result will be the number of days that corresponds to be paid as a bonus.
In this case there are 6,273 days.
We are going to multiply that amount by what is earned daily.
In this case 200.
And it gives 1,254.6
That is what they should give María as a bonus for starting work on August 1, where she worked 153 days.
