Excellent opportunity to work repairing electrical equipment. If you have a fluorescent lamp that appears to be burnt out, you may be able to get it back. There are two types of defects that can occur, the burning of the resistance inside the bulb or defect in some defective component in the printed circuit of the lamp. Opening the Lamp you can measure the terminals of the resistors with a multimeter on the continuity scale, if there is no continuity the lamp is doomed and there is nothing to do.

But if the resistors are ok, you will see in the video above how to find a defective component or some cold solder. Cold solder is a small crack in the tin of some component, this ends up causing the malfunction of any circuit in any device.
