How to lock the door

In this video I show how to install lock on wooden door.

1. Make the markings
Take the body of the lock and mark with the pen above and below the desired height (we recommend 1.10 m from the floor). Mark on the door and on her side. The body of the lock should be flush with the door.

2. Puncture the side of the door
Drill with the drill bit where the lock body will be embedded.

3. Make the notch
With the chisel, remove excess wood from the side of the door until it reaches the ideal size that fits the body of the lock. Snap it into the hole.

4. Make the holes
Take the body of the lock and put it back on the door mark. This time mark the locations for the doorknob and cylinder drilling. Drill the holes through the door and fit them into the hole.

5. Secure cylinder and lock body
On the side of the door, insert the screw that will lock the cylinder. Also screw the body of the lock.

6. Mark the forehead
Place the forehead on the body of the lock, close the door and mark on the top and bottom jamb. Then place the forehead on the stop according to marking and mark the hole and notch locations.

7. Fix the forehead
First make the notch with a drill or chisel and make sure that the depth of the holes is adequate. Then secure the back brace with the screws.

8. Finish
Position the knob along with the mirror (or rosette) on the door and secure with screws. Lock the knob with the accompanying pin or screw. Just position the pin and tap lightly with a hammer.
