The Roland Aira Compact T8 Drum Machine and the Korg Volca Sample 2 are both fun, portable sequencers, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. In this video, I provide a comparison of the key differences which might help you understand which one could fit your needs and workflow best including a visually presented view of the sound, pattern and track content structures , and the key features of these 2 portable Grooveboxlike instruments. The information is presented in a visual and graphical style to give you a real understanding of how musical content is structured on each device and then some key feature differences are presented.
UPDATE FIX: I made an error on the EFFECTS and stated that the Sample2 has Delay but it DOESN'T... it has Reverb and the Isolator which is presented as both Bass and Treble Isolation separately... so can be considered two separate effects, but there's no delay effect on the Korg Volca Sample2.
These devices are in the $150 to $200 range, which has many other devices in it of course but we're presenting two at a time to keep it simple. Is the extra $50 for the T8 worth it for the feature differences? You decide!
