Gradius II: The Ambition of the Gopher" is a legitimate sequel to "Gradius," which changed the history of sidescrolling style shooting games.
The NES port, which was said to approach the limits of the Famicom (NES), has been highly acclaimed for its high level of perfection, fully utilizing the porting knowhow of "Salamander" and other games, although there were some elements that were cut.
The NES version of "Gradius II" was further improved and enhanced in the patch "Gradius II AC DEATH" created by Metsatsusan.
I, Miroku Ukimido, will play the latest version 2.1 as of December 2023, comparing it with the NES version and the arcade version (Sega Saturn version).
