On this cook, I use my Pit Barrel Cooker for the first time and boy was I surprised. The pork shoulders I used were small but that's all I could find for some crazy reason so I ran with it. I also tried 2 new rubs that a buddy @bushmaasterbbq turned me onto and they were both really good but the Heaven Made rub stood out over the Proud Souls Rub.

I did shread the rest of the shoulders and mixed them both together and boy it was good! I might try to layer both rubs on my next cook.
