The Via del Sale (Salt Road), as its name suggests, is the ancient mule track used by merchants to transport salt from the sea to the hinterland. Unlike what happened in the distant past, I have retraced the itinerary of the Via del Sale in reverse, starting from the Po Valley and arriving at the Ligurian coast.
