Concorde is the greatest civilian aircraft ever built. In the aviation hall of fame Concorde stands second only to the Wright brothers' maiden flight. Even before she leaves the ground, she goes like a bat out of hell! She cruises at twice the speed of sound, faster than the earth rotates. She's so far ahead of the pack, she's out of sight!

Concorde was jointly developed and produced by Aérospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) under an AngloFrench treaty. First flown in 1969, Concorde entered service in 1976 and continued commercial flights for 27 years. The aircraft is regarded by many people as an aviation icon and an engineering marvel.
