Given the wide range of impairments that athletes with a disability have, baseline concussion testing is crucial to understand more about each athlete’s preinjury status. Symptoms that athletes present to clinic with may be preexisting, and these need to be considered in the medical decisionmaking process to give an athlete with preexisting disability the best chance of recovering from concussion.
