Speaker Biography: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is the second woman and the first African American to hold the office. She was secretary of state in 20052009 and national security adviser in 20012005 for President George W. Bush. She has been on the faculty of Stanford University since 1981, and is currently the Denning Professor of Global Business and the Economy there. Rice is also a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Her bestselling books include "No Higher Honor: A Memoir of My Years in Washington" and "Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family." Her most recent book is "Democracy: Stories from the Long Road to Freedom."
