In Azure SQL Managed Instance, you can configure a longterm backup retention policy (LTR). This allows you to automatically retain database backups in separate Azure Blob storage containers for up to 10 years. This video describes how to configure the longterm retention using PowerShell for a single database on an Azure SQL Managed Instance or for all databases on the Azure SQL Managed Instance.
