Continental Kryptotal Review (w/ Maxxis Comparisons)

Learn more about the Continental Kryptotal line of tires over at Jenson USA here: https://jenson.sjv.io/MmDKkn (anything purchased via that link will help support my videos thanks!) I’m running the Kryptotal Fr 2.4 DH Super Soft in front and Kryptotal Re 2.4 DH Super Soft in back, and it’s what I rode for the majority of this video. As a bonus, I also liked running the Kryptotal Re 2.6 Enduro Soft up front, and that’s a better tire for looser conditions.

The Maxxis tires I refer to in this video:

Assegai the “ass guy” name refers to a spear in South Africa, but the tire sharing the same name is a phenomenal front tire option: https://bit.ly/MaxxisAssegaiDDJKW I would say the Assegai is a better loose condition option, but the Kryptotal 2.4 is just as good in hardpark or soft conditions, all with a lower weight, similarly tough DH casing, and better rolling resistance.

Aggressor a great, fast rolling rear tire that corners predictably. https://bit.ly/MaxxisAggressorDDJKW The Kryptotal Re 2.4 is very similar.

DHRII: https://bit.ly/MaxxisDHR2022JKW this is my favorite rear Maxxis tire, and while it does have a tad more size and bite than the Kryptotal Re 2.4, it’s not a huge difference, and the Continental option is lighter and faster rolling.

Dissector: https://bit.ly/MaxxisDissectorDHJKW I never really went over the Dissector in the video, but in short, I prefer the Kryptotal OVER the Dissector. The Dissector is fine, but not particularly great at any one thing. Many of my bikes have Dissectors because DHR II tires were out of stock and it’s OK. The Kryptotal Re corners slightly better, rolls much better, manuals better, and is my preferred tire over the Dissector.
