The pros and cons of the copper IUD, known as paragard. The copper IUD may be the best contraceptive because it doesn't impact your hormones.

The copper IUD (also known as Paragard) is an IUD and one of the most widely prescribed methods of contraception.

This form of birth control is perhaps one of the best options available for long term birth control management due to its impact (or lack thereof) on your sex hormones.

The copper IUD does NOT have the same damaging effects on your HPO axis as over the counter birth control pills and has significantly fewer side effects compared to other forms of birth control.

Learn more about the pros and cons of the copper IUD (Paragard) in this video and why it's one of my preferred methods of birth control!
