Here’s the recipe

6 pounds navy or great northern beans
3/4 cup brown sugar
medium onions chopped
2 1/2 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
6 tablespoons honey
6 pints of homemade tomato sauce OR 6 (15ounce) cans
9 cups water
1 to 3 tablespoons salt (optional)
24 pieces 2" each bacon salt pork, or fatback

Rinse beans and bring to a rolling boil for 2 minutes, then let rest for 2 hours. Rinse and fill pot with water again and let rest for 30 minutes.
Drain water. Add 1/2 cup to pint jars or 1 cup to quart jars. Add 1/4 cup onion and some salt pork to each jar. For the sauce combine brown sugar, mustard, honey, tomato sauce, water, salt and bring to a boil stirring often until sugar dissolves. Add 1/2 cup of sauce to each pint jar or 1 cup to each quart jar and then add boiling water to 1” headspace. Remove air bubbles and wipe rims with vinegar. Add lids to finger tight. Process pints for 75 minutes at 10lbs pressure or quarts 90 minutes at 10lbs pressure.
