This is a recording of my appearance on Eric Rhoads' Art School Live. It was a wonderful experience and an honor to be on. In the video I go over why I think doing mastercopies is probably the single best exercise you can do to learn and grow in you art and become a better painter, and go over why and how I've been doing them for so long. In the video I go over doing small composition copies or oil sketches, to more refined copies from favorite artists such as Ivan Shishkin, Isaac Levitan, John Singer Sargent, and more. Enjoy!
