This is the Assembly video of a functional 3D printed Corsair F4u tail retract system, scale 1:6.6 Wingspan 1.9m. I think it’s by far the coolest upgrade of your Corsair F4u! With shock absorber.

The design is based on minimal parts and simple assembly.

• 1x Tension spring 20mm x 0.8mm x 8mm

Fuselage mounting and Pull pull system for tail wheel steering:
• 4 small (servo mounting) screws
• 1x Servo 30mm x 30mm x 12mm (I use Corona cs238mg)
• Carbon tube 430mm 4, 5 or 6mm diam.
• 2m wire 0.4 or 0.5mm
• Clevis an threaded wire end,
• Steel crimp tube.
