Ed O'Grady walks through the allnew Chevrolet Corvette ERay, the first of Chevrolet's electrified Corvettes. This vehicle is not an electric vehicle. Instead, it uses the power of an electric motor to boost the performance of the vehicle's drivetrain, making it the first Corvette to feature allwheel drive (AWD). While the Corvette ERay features a battery and electric motors, it is not a plugin vehicle and only needs to be fueled with gasoline.

The Corvette ERay combines a 6.2L LT2 V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a total of 655 horsepower. The electric motor powers the front wheels, providing instantaneous torque and improved traction, especially in challenging driving conditions. The ERay can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest Corvettes ever produced. Additionally, it features advanced technologies like a performanceoriented traction management system and a regenerative braking system that helps recharge the battery during braking.
