I KNOW. This song has references to Greek mythology but bruh lemme use Rome PLEASE. I know not a lot of people like ancient history that much me included.. BUT! It’s growing on me!

Lore: In Country Dogs, the ancient countries are very looked up to and represent what it truly means to be a Country Dog in a world where it’s survival of the fittest. Rome’s death shook the world, since he is said to be one of the greatest dogs to have ever lived. Fierce, heroic, smart, strong, powerful. He was incredibly talented… but also incredibly greedy and bloodthirsty.
He started the tradition of cropping and docking dogs for battle and that practice is still continued in the CD world. Even though he’s so looked up to and practically went down as a saint, there were always cracks in his surface that led to an unhealthy lifestyle that most modern CD’s fail to remember. Thus, him being remembered as a saint rather than what he truly was: an average dog.
