On my utility lawn tractor that I've been using to pull my trailer and plug aerator, I decided to do what ive thought about doing for a while. I always wanted to do a mud mower puller swap and found the perfect pulley from a Kees Yazoo commercial walk behind lawn mower deck spindle pulley. This pulley is cast iron with a keyway and a perfect 1" shaft fit to the crankshaft.

I had to find a new longer belt to accommodate the larger diameter pulley. After it was swapped out, I couldnt start the engine because it's been sitting all winter long and the fuel appeared frozen. At the same time I have a shortage of tractor batteries and had to continually charge the dead one on the tractor. The engine has gasket leaks in the sump and the rear access plate as well as the crankshaft seal. I may have to remove the engine and replace all the gaskets which is a ton of work. But, first things first, we have to start this engine and make sure it always starts.
