I always wanted a tree fort as a kid but never got one, so decided to try and build one myself as an adult haha.

So I just cut a bunch of 2x4's and started building steps up the tree until I got to a point where I had some sort of view. Then nailed in some supports, built the floor, added more supports around, built walls and a roof.

I Built the whole thing solo, bringing up one board at a time. For most of it I didn't have a harness and didn't have a pulley to bring stuff up.

I built most of it in 2017. It took a few months of just odd days I had free here and there. In 2018 I tarped in the walls and built a roof. My idea was I wanted a convertible roof, so I only stapled down the base of it then the rest I had held on by Velcro strips. Needless to say those didn't last long.

I haven't touched it this year, but next on the to do list is clean it up, give it a coat of paint, find a better way to make a convertible roof.

It's quite relaxing to go up and watch the sunset, listen to nature, and be gently rocked by the swaying of the tree in the wind.
