Removing the plastic engine covers from a CRF450L requires shorter bolts to go back on the bike. New bolts will run you about $25 $30 with shipping. In this video I show how to thread and shorten the factory bolts. This is a simple mod. The benefit of reusing the OE bolts is that they match and you don’t have to wait on replacements. You also get a metric tap and die set that may be useful in future projects.
