In White

Round 1 3sc in mr [3]
Round 2 3 inc [6]
Round 3 [sc, inc]x3 [9]
Round 4 sc around [9]

Slip stitch and cut, leaving shortish tail (about 4 inches) for sewing, pull through. Flatten and sew to Ghostie Body slightly below face on either side. Fasten and hide remaining tail inside the Ghostie body.

BOTTOM (not covered today, but same as beginning of the Ghostie Body. You only need one so skip this if you did it already).

In White

Round 1 6sc in MR [6]
Round 2 6inc [12]
Round 3 [sc, inc]x6 [18]
Round 4 sc, inc, [2sc, inc]x5, sc [24]
Round 5 [3sc, inc]x6 [30]


Cut, leaving long tail (about 12 inches) for sewing. Pull yarn through and fasten. Cut cardboard to fit circle.

Add 8mm safety eyes to Ghostie body between round 9 and 10. The posts should be about an inch and quarter apart. Press the back of the eyes until they ‘click’ in place.

If this will be used by small children or animals, embroider or add felt eyes instead of safety eyes.

Embroider mouth.


Stuff Ghostie body, sew the bottom to the back loops left behind from row 21 halfway around, add cardboard, finish sewing. Fasten and hide the remaining thread inside the Ghostie body.
