I am literally obsessed with this stitch and I think whatever you make using this stitch looks faboulus!
I have made this toddler hat using DK weight yarn and 4 mm hook.
This pattern can be adjusted to make bigger or smaller hat. The brim need to have a multiple of 4 amounts of rounds and after joining the ends, there should be minimum of 8 to 16 stitches of increase in the first round of sc, depending on how small or big you are making.
