Fiber Fox Studios

In this tutorial you will crochet along with me to create this beautiful, lace granny square motif. This motif can be used to create market bags, beach bags, ponchos, sleeveless/ tank tops, a womens blouse in any size, blankets and so much more.

The Yarn I used: Yarn Bee Sweet Divinity which is a size 4 medium weight yarn, 80% Acrylic, 20% Nylon.
243 yards per ball.

You can use ANY yarn you want, in any weight.

Measurement of my finishes motif: 5.25 inches x 5.25 inches unstretched

Bolero:
Small through XL: 15 squares
1X to 3X: 24 squares
4X to 6X: 35 squares
See tutorial here, additional info in the description of the tutorial:    • Crochet Lace Granny Square Motif Bole...

Yardage:
I was able to create 12 squares/motifs with one skein (243 yards in my ball). I did have a little left over from my ball but it's not enough to create another full motif or to join all of the motifs together. The amount of yarn you need will depend on the project you are going to make. Hopefully the above info will help you determine what you need for your project. In my upcoming tutorials that use these motifs to create different garments, I will provide the motif count and more yardage info at that time.

The hook: 5mm hook, adjust your hook size as needed for the yarn you choose. NOTE: I went up .5mm from the hook size recommended on the yarn label. (My yarn recommends a 4.5mm hook, I used a 5mm to help with the drape since I am using mine for garments.)
