Crosbie Wingfold - solo de-rigging the wings on a Shadow microlight aircraft

SkyFreedomAv

Danny Crosbie (UK) designed a wingfold system for the CFM Shadow and Streak microlights.
Using the Crosbie wingfold, Bruce Conway demonstrates how it only takes 20 minutes to singlehandedly derig and fold the wings on his Shadow ultralight aircraft.

This wingfold is slightly different to Danny Crosbie's original:
Wingfold mechanism uses aviation rodends as hinges
Boom support trolley has a composite frame (PVC foam, UD carbon + DB glassfibre)
Large diameter, pneumatic castor wheels to cope with rough grass fields
Wingtip support is an alloy ladder with adjustable padded Tbar

[Note: Video plays back at 8x normal speed, so don't worry about Bruce's work rate. It's actually a leisurely process.]
