Crown a barrel by hand vs doing it on a lathe. Custom Mauser. How close can you get it by hand. I was able to get within 0.0030.005" by doing it with hand files and sand paper. This was not the final crown at the end, but a clean up cut to see how much we needed to take off to clean up a hand cut crown on the rifle barrel.
