Recently, Kate, the godmother of our two kids, brought her 4yearold son Mumu to the United States from China to study. We found great differences between Mumu and Yanyan, two boys in the same grade, and many of these differences can be attributed to differences in parenting styles. Mumu was raised in China, Yanyan was raised in the United States, Mumu was raised mainly by his grandparents, and Yanyan was raised by two dads.
