We are demonstrating how we can take a popular commercial drone kit, that can be assembled in a weekend, and show how the camera mount and other replacement parts can be designed by CASA and custom 3D printed. Along with this comes a drone simulator to fully experience flying a drone over urban environments. The project is an extension of the already existing Lima 3D printed landscape exhibit of the RemapLima project and connects to the narration of the field work done in the 2013 workshop. The construction of the mapping drone took a full weekend, and the process is recorded for a mini videodocumentary. The 3D printed parts of the Drone, will be placed online on Thingiverse as an opensource design to download and an open source software with full stepbystep instructions will be available soon.
